History & Mission

The Dick Family has been in construction since 1922.

Dick Family roots start 1,000 miles north and 100 years ago in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania when Noble J. Dick formed Dick Corporation in 1922. By 1949, Dick Corporation was ranked as the nation’s 50th largest construction firm. As a leader in commercial, industrial, institutional, and hospitality markets, Dick Corporation expanded across the continental United States before merging with Fletcher Pacific Construction Company in 1999 to create the Honolulu-based Dick Pacific. It was during this era and under Douglas Dick’s leadership that Dick Construction reached Guam, Alaska, and the Caribbean.

By 2008, Dick Corporation completed the initial phase of a restructuring plan that saw the sale of assets and transfer of control to a new and different construction management company not affiliated with Dick Construction Management.

Established in 2002 by Douglas Dick, Dick Construction & Management is well-positioned to meet the growing needs of the construction industry. With four generations of sincere commitment, core values, and building excellence, Dick Construction & Management continues the family legacy of professionalism and innovation.
